Now I know why Fred Astaire was always smiling!

We had so much fun Wednesday night during our Jitterbug dance class! Debra Seeck of Jitterbug Studios taught for a full 1/2 hour and everyone had a ball!

Dancing is fun, but classes can be a little intimidating sometimes, I have taken several. Debra wasted no time in getting everyone started. She has a knack of instructing with clear and easy directions.

We had beginners and couples with more experience and everyone learned something. Sorry if you missed it, but honestly if you are ever thinking about taking classes call Debra.

Tokyo Milk

One of the best finds at the Seattle Gift Show was Tokyo Milk. Tokyo milk is a fresh and quirky line of fabulous parfums, lip balms, and soaps. I was immediately hooked and couldn't wait to bring it to Olivia's.
The scents are wonderful, a little out of the ordinary and very fresh! Just the thing for Spring!

Parfums
Le Petit - lily, peony, vanilla bean & violet petals
Gin & Rosewater - citrus zest, rosewood, mimosa & mandarin
I Want Candy - crisp apples, peaches, violets & roses
Eden - fresh greens, cassis, white iris, & bronzed musk
French Kiss - mandarin, tuberose, gardenia & vetiver
Dead Sexy - deep vanilla, exotic wood, white orchid & ebony
Honey & the Moon - sweet honey, sugared violet, jasmine & sandalwood
Let Them Eat Cake - sugar cane, coconut milk, vanilla orchid, white musk
Cherry Bomb - wild rose, osmanthus, chocolate & vetiver

Stop by and check out Tokyo Milk, I know you'll love it.

Fred & Shyanne

Fred is an Olivia's customer who is quickly becoming one of my favorite people. He stops by the store every so often, always with a smile, a joke or a story. I have come to discover that Fred is kind and generous to a fault, it is always a treat to see him. But Fred would be quick to tell you that he is not my customer at all-he belongs to Shyanne.
Shyanne is my oldest granddaughter and the first time Fred made a purchase at Olivia's it was Shyanne whose help he sought. She still talks about the first sale she ever made!

Ever since, whenever Fred needs a gift, or several gifts as was the case on Valentines, he asks for Shyanne. She has become his personal shopper and as you can guess she adores Fred! Before Fred arrived, she circled the store several times. Wondering out loud about what Fred might need today, how much he might want to spend, what size bags we should get ready.

It doesn't take much to encourage a child, to make them feel special, but so often we don't think to do it. Fred gets it, and that makes him very special himself!
